Day 15

Went to the Louvre for the first time! It won't be my last, however, this museum is HUGE. NYC museums have nothing on the Louvre. I only got through some parts of the Greek, Egyptian, and Italian renaissance paintings, but there's oh so much more. I slept for at least 10 hours after (don't know if that was the museum's doing.) Anyway, this place is sick! And I mean that both in the slang way and in the actual sense of the word. The Louvre's architecture is amazing and its collections are stunning, however they do make me think about how they collected them. I can't help but think that all of this was technically stolen from the Greeks and Egyptians. I don't know, the thought of how they got their hands on these items was ever present at the top of my head. But here are some photos of the beauty that is housed at the roof. Also, I did get to see the Mona Lisa! She is indeed small and across from her is this colossal painting so it's funny to know that people flock from all over to see her. Size isn't everything I guess.

The larger pyramid is the main entrance
